As seen on Reddit: Fox News identified South Carolina governor Mark Sanford as a Democrat, even though he is most definitely a Republican. Sanford disappeared last week, and his aides initially told the press that he was “hiking the Appalachian Trail” to blow off some steam. As it turns out, he was really blowing off steam with a special lady down in Argentina. Part of the reason he needed some r&r was that his bid to refuse Obama’s stimulus money to fund, among other items, his state’s schools, was defeated by the state legislature. Naturally, Sanford doesn’t think he should resign, even though he often invokes the sanctity of marriage while defending his anti-gay marriage stance.
Back to Fox News: as the image shows, they’ve done the same thing in the past, notably with Mark Foley, the pedophile congressman from Florida, and John McCain, when he lost the 2008 presidential election. They’ve also done the same thing with Arkansas governor and presidential candidate Mike Huckabee.
Coincidence? I think not! Seems like they’re quick to disown their favorites when they screw up.
